Strengthen cooperation networks. FISIP Unand received a visit from the delegation of the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta.

PADANG-On Friday, October 13, 2023, in the morning, a delegation from the Faculty of Dakwah and Communication, State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta, visited the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Andalas University. The purpose of this visit was to engage in discussions on how to manage the institutions and to sign a cooperation agreement between the two entities. This was made possible due to the absence of a prior cooperation agreement between these two institutions.

The event took place in the Virtual Conference Room on the 3rd floor of Building B in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Andalas University. It was attended by the Vice Deans I and II, the Head of the Faculty Secretariat, Managers of Sections I and II, the Head of the Finance and Asset Section, Chairpersons, and Secretaries of the Sociology Department, Heads of the Postgraduate Sociology Program, Chairpersons, and Secretaries of the Communication Science Department, and the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Dakwah and Communication, State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatullah. Additionally, seven (7) members from the Chairpersons of both the undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the Faculty of Dakwah and Communication, State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatullah were also present.

During his opening speech, Dr. Lucky Zamzami, M.Soc.Sc, Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, discussed the structure of FISIP Unand and its various programs. He expressed gratitude for the visit by the Faculty of Dakwah and Communication from State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatullah, saying, "Thank you for the visit from the Faculty of Dakwah and Communication, State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatullah. Hopefully, in the future, we can collaborate in the fields of education, research, and community service."

Subsequently, Dr. Muhtadi, M.Si., Vice Dean III, presented information about the Faculty of Dakwah and Communication, State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatullah, along with the programs offered by the faculty. He also expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by FISIP Unand and stated, "Thank you for the warm welcome from FISIP Unand. Here, we can exchange ideas and learn together." The event continued with discussions on institution management.

At the conclusion of the event, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Faculty of Dakwah and Communication, State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatullah, Jakarta, and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Andalas University. It is hoped that after the agreement is signed, joint programs can be implemented to achieve mutual progress in the fields of education, research, and community service.
