FISIP UNAND - At the beginning of 2023, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Andalas University initiated programs to support the enhancement of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This was achieved through a collaboration with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Culture Trunojoyo Madura (FISIB Trunojoyo Madura). The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) ceremony attended by the leaders and academic members of both faculties. The event took place on Wednesday, February 1, in the meeting room on the 2nd floor of Andalas University.
The event was opened by the Dean of FISIP at Andalas University, Dr. Azwar, M.Si. In his opening remarks, he noted that this collaboration was a great opportunity to formulate a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at collaborating and implementing concrete actions for the future academic quality development of FISIP. This collaboration is not only intended to achieve Key Performance Indicators (IKU) but also to provide substantial benefits to FISIP in the future.
Dr. Azwar also mentioned that concrete actions after the signing of the collaboration would focus on the Free Campus Independent Learning (MBKM) program, as well as research and community service. Moreover, FISIB Trunojoyo Madura shares a similar organizational climate with FISIP UNAND, which means there's much to learn from FISIP UNAND, especially in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Culture.
The event continued with a speech from the Dean of FISIB Trunojoyo Madura, Mr. Surohim, M.Si, who expressed his delight and enthusiasm during his first visit. He shared his first impressions of stepping foot in Padang and hoped that this meeting would not only resolve issues but also strengthen the relationships among the faculty members.
The event proceeded with a sharing session, opened by Dr. Azwar, M.Si, the Dean of FISIP UNAND. During this session, academic issues within the faculty were discussed to enhance academic quality, financial matters, and infrastructure. Both FISIP UNAND and FISIB Trunojoyo Madura conducted evaluations to identify areas of collaboration in the future. It is hoped that this collaboration will yield positive and sustainable results in the future. The event concluded with a prayer, a group photo, and the exchange of plaques, as well as the formal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
